Title designer Ethan Sinconis had the opportunity to collaborate with animator and director Hana Taylor on title and lettering work for her second animated short film, Fishbowl. Sinconis started by receiving custom bubble designs from digital artist Aidan Sinconis. He transformed them, and made them into a custom typeface. Sinconis provided multiple variations, each with different degrees of legibility. Taylor requested a balance of something irregular and playful, above is the final result.

 

Fishbowl became Hana Taylor’s major film debut, winning 'best overall' at the PUSD Fine Arts Film Festival in 2025 for the animation category. It currently sits at over 20,000 views on YouTube.
