For director Benjamin Doerksen’s short film Trash Tree, Ethan Sinconis made the film's title undergo a transformation and a “clean-up” of sorts, symbolically representing the cleaning up of litter portrayed through Dylan's character. The credit crawl reveals a vibrant green tree panning down to its roots, depicting the aftermath of the litter being removed.
Working with hand-carved wooden type, a metal typesetting board and use of natural outdoor light, Sinconis shot the letters underneath a tree branch, the shadow of the tree reflecting elegantly over the film's title, a symbol of the ever-growing tree turning awry.
